Frequently asked questions
How does Zowda secure my financial data?
Zowda never stores your banking credentials and has no ability to access your accounts or move money. We use a third-party data aggregator that connects to your bank on your behalf and forwards us read-only transaction records. That transaction data is stored in Google Cloud Platform, protected by Google’s state-of-the-art infrastructure security.
What platforms is Zowda available on?
Zowda is available as a web app you can use in any modern browser, and as a mobile app for both iOS and Android.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees. You can cancel your subscription at any time, and you’ll retain access through the end of your current billing period.
Which banks and financial institutions are supported?
Zowda connects to thousands of banks, credit unions, and financial institutions across the United States through our secure data aggregation partner. During account setup you can search for your institution to confirm it’s supported.
How do I connect my bank account?
After signing up, tap “Link Account,” search for your bank, and log in through our aggregator’s secure widget. Your credentials are handled entirely by the aggregator — Zowda never sees them. Once linked, your transactions begin syncing automatically.
Does each member of a shared budget need their own account?
Yes. Every member of a group budget needs their own paid Zowda account. Zowda uses AI-powered analysis tailored to each individual’s spending, income, and goals, and the compute cost of those workloads needs to be covered per person.
How much does Zowda cost?
Zowda is $9.99/mo or $99.99/yr when you subscribe on the web; subscribing in the iOS app costs $12.99/mo or $129.99/yr. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees.
Does Zowda sell my data?
No. Zowda does not sell your personal information. Bank connections are read-only, and your data is used to power your own budget, insights, and assistant — details are in our privacy policy.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can request access to, correction, deletion, or export of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@zowda.com. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted or anonymized within 90 days, except where retention is legally required.
Is Zowda a bank?
No. Zowda is not a bank and never holds your money. Bank connections are read-only — Zowda cannot move funds, initiate payments, or access your accounts, and your money stays at the institutions you already use. Zowda is a financial organization tool and does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, tax guidance, or credit repair services.
What happens to my data if Zowda shuts down?
If Zowda were ever to shut down, your personal data would not be sold — it would be permanently deleted or anonymized, following the same practices as account deletion in our privacy policy. While the service is running, you can also request an export of your data at any time by emailing privacy@zowda.com.
